During the early to mid 80's....crack was ushered into our society...Like a mighty rushing wind...it spread throughout the Black society....like a tumor...growing...stage 4 cancer...but unlike the opioid crisis of present day, no one gave treatments to crack addicts.....escape routes (no prison time)..... No genuine form of help...Read the articles....pull up the stats.....research on your own..... Maybe you can help me figure out WHY... The opioid crisis... and crack epidemic happened and why these tragedies were handled differently...both managed to tear down communities...and proved to be detrimental to the people... so why did the opioid crisis... get $1 billion dollars...for treatment funding... and the crack epidemic... got longer prison sentences... to say it's unfair is an understatement... As the Black society we must learn to see this system for what it is... A mental, physical and financial tool to keep us enslaved...Peace & Prosperity.
